Hi! My name is Norma and I have signed up to participate in a Grow your blog party sponsored by
www.vicki-2bagsfull@blogspot.com.
I started writing this blog to get feedback on my projects and connect with other crochet crafters. I started my blog in 2012. I have enjoyed writing and posting photos of my work. I have not sold any but have done work for charity.
My goals for my blog remain the same. I do hope to meet others, share ideas and get inspired.
A little about me: I am a newly turned 50 with two adult children. I am super proud of my kids - they are hard working loving young adults. I work full time as a physical therapist. To make a long story short, I took the name of my blog from comments from my kids about too much yarn and my lack of time!
I hope you will visit my blog, follow it and leave comments!
Thanks for stopping by!
PS so sorry that I could not figure out how to post the photo link from Vicki
I couldn't figure out how to add the badge either, so you are not alone!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the Party :)
Hello there. I have joined to follow your blog. I have been knitting for half a century (!!!) but only recently learned to crochet. I'm enjoying looking at your projects. Best wishes from Una of Great Balls of Wool http://bagsofwool.blogspot.co.uk/
ReplyDeleteI will enjoy following your blog. Although I don't as yet crochet or knit, I think I'll need to take it up, there are so many talented bloggers that do, one can't help but be inspired. Sharon
ReplyDeleteHi, Norma! I arrived here via the GYB party, but hopped straight over to your other blog first, so there's another reply from me there, too!
ReplyDeleteI knit more than I crochet; my crochet expertise is limited to granny squares or hexagons, although I'm planning to have ago at a 'ripple' pattern! ( I wonder if you have come across 'Attic24' - a wonderfully colourful blog by a young Mum in Yorkshire, England? - she's inspired me to have a go at 'rippling'!)
I'll add you to my blog list, but 'Blogger' doesn't seem to want to let me 'follow' you at the moment - I shall duck back later and do so!

Hi Norma! Sounds like we have a couple (or so) things in common.. I just turned the big 5-0 myself. I didn't love it, but honestly, it wasn't so bad. I have two kids, both grown, a boy and a girl. And I CROCHET! In fact, I'm just starting a set of mickey and minnie hats for my niece's two kids. I just saw yours in a previous post.. So CUTE!!... Nice meeting you via Grow Your Blog, and hope you're enjoying your weekend! ~tina
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. A PT person who blogs and loves yarn. PT has helped save my sanity the last two months and my yarn doth overflow...please come visit me and I am going to try and be a follower, assuming I can figure the process out. Happy party going..
ReplyDeleteYAY a fellow crocheter. Knitting is my kryptonite. I'm your newest follower!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm from the blog party, and I love to crochet, too. Come on over and visit my blog, too.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you
ReplyDeleteI love your blog name ~ I should change mine to not enough fabric and not enough time!
ReplyDeleteIt is great to meet you through Vicki's GYB party.
If you have a chance, please drop by nonniescedarchest.wordpress.com
I look forward to following along and seeing your projects! How wonderful that you create for charity!
ReplyDeleteA fellow Fifty Clubber!!! I am also part of Vicki's party and the name of your blog caught my eye. I am a spinner, knitter, weaver and I raise Shetland sheep. I used to crochet a lot, but since I started knitting I don't do much any longer.
ReplyDeleteLove the baby hat, how adorable.
Hi, I came to your blog via one of my Shetland sheep mentors, Kelly, (above) and what she says is pretty much ditto for me, except I'm just barely starting to weave, I knit more than I crochet but I do crochet and have off and on for years, and I'm a little older than Kelly, although I'm not in my mind and am not anywhere CLOSE to 70, either.

Hello, I am happy to meet you through this fab party! I am working my way through the list bit by bit.
ReplyDeleteI love to crochet too, as well as all kinds of mixed media art and jewelry. I totally love your blog title, as I feel the same way...

Hello Norma
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to meet you via our dear friend Vicki's Grow Your Blog Party!
Yes - that is a fantastic blog name - well done!!!
I love knitting - don't do enough - crossstitch and other things keep getting in the way LOL!
But when the weather gets cooler on my side of the world I'm going to knit a scarf for Vicki's "Pink Scarf Project" - yes more good work from Vicki.... you can see the button on her side bar!
I would love to crochet especially little flowers and hearts, but I just can't get the hang of it - especially that first round thing. I just don't get it - I wish you could sit beside me and tell me what I'm doing wrong!!!!!
We share our gift of faith too Norma which is nice.
I’m your newest follower.
I do hope you'll pop over and see me too and enter my GYB Giveaway!
Enjoy the party.
Hugs
Shane ♥
