Hearts for a pretty newborn!

I have been dabbling with crochet since the big blanket project. Which by the way some of the cranberry came out with using shout color catchers. I finally sent it to my son (he flew in for graduation) so hoping he likes it.

I made this for my God daughter's newborn baby girl! Yet to be blocked but it turned out fairly well. As I say with a lot of my work, you can only tell it is homemade if there are tiny errors!
Now on to my new projects!
What is in your crochet basket this summer?
Happy crocheting!

I had to add this photo. Somewhere in there is my son! Yes, he did like it!

Happy graduation!

The story behind the log cabin......
About 20 years ago I started a blanket for my son Adam. I never finished it. It was a train blanket of almost 800 granny squares. When it came to to figure out what to give him, I thought about finishing the train blanket. But I decided to do a grown up pattern and made this for his master's degree graduation!

You can barely see the cranberry faded into the whit. I am going to try to wash with a color catcher before shipping it to him! He had to fly in for his grad ceremony so this bout me more time!  I hope it catches the cranberry!

It is done!

I get a little jealous sometimes when I see how fast some whip out projects! Not me! I take time! I have to admit though I am so proud of this. I only wish that the camera could capture it better!
It will be given this weekend and I cannot wait.  I will have to share the story after I give it away!

Don't you just love the pink ranger on the floor!!

Update

I was able to find answers with regards to the warning message that I sent this weekend. Unfortunately a fellow blogger friend had her old blog taken over by unscrupulous people. I have deleted that old blog and no longer have terrible pictures showing up.

For good news the log cabin blanket is coming along nicely. I believe I will make my deadline of May 17. No new pictures to post this week but look forward to the finished project next week!

Beware

I just wanted to make you aware that I have had some spam popping up on my reading list. I've attempted to contact Google blogger and have been unsuccessful so far. Beware that pictures may be coming up that are not of my doing. If anyone else has had this kind of problem and knows how to solve it I would appreciate any advice. Thank you

Work in progress!

I am loving how this is turning out. I just have to carve out more time! Do you think I could call in sick to crochet?

It's been a long time!

It has been a long time since I blogged. I just realized that it's been almost 2 months. I haven't done much crochet work. I have been trying to keep my head above water with paperwork for my job and also I helped my son move to California. Even though it's spraying I'm working on a log cabin afghan. I can't tell you how many hours I spent trying to figure out the colors. I think it will look very very nice. It is a special present for someone special!
Now to get outside and enjoy some fresh air!
I hope you all have a good week and I am promising to have updated photos of my progress next week!
