A little late to the party but happy belated Easter!

It is amazing how time slips away!
But happy belated Easter! This was my fun Easter project.... A basket of eggs to play games with the special needs children I work with and my egg mantle!

My goal this week is to start a YOP list and WIP list to post maybe for some accountability to finish what I have started?

Enjoy your day!

Snoody!

I have never bought a pattern before but fell in love with this one, the Hampton hood by Heidi May.
Even though I had to do a little figuring to make it come together correctly, it is simply adorable and of course so is my great niece the model!

My lighting was a little off so here is buckeye bear modeling it too!

So cute and once I got how to put it together, it is a do again for another sweet girl sometime soon!
Have a great crochet day!

Too long in posting!

Oops, I just looked and it has been since October since I have posted anything on this blog. It's not that I have not been around and it's not that I have not been crocheting. It's just not taking the time to chronicle what I have been up to!
So here goes:
I had a wonderful holiday season! My children were here and we were able to spend lots of time together!
This weather in Ohio has really disrupted schedules! From cold cold cold to snow and ice, I have not had a regular schedule since the first week of December!  One would think that I had crocheted a houseful or at least have a white glove clean house, but neither have happened!
But these were my January projects: 3 hats for my daughter and friends, white infinity scarf and hat for a friend and another scarf "Steelers" scarf for a friend.

These are 2 of the hats I made. They are from crochetincolor.blogspot.com - the unforgettable hat!
I am looking forward to posting a little more frequently - just for the record I have not slouched on reading my favorite blogs. There is some beautiful work out there,
Have a wonderful day!

Precious gifts

Recently a family member and her husband decided to adopt. The things they had to do most parents would not dream of completing without complaining ALOT!
They have finished their process and now await a precious blessing!
They are decorating in yellow and gray with a You are my Subshine theme!
This was my contribution to welcome a new child into their hearts and home!

And a photo of them opening the present!

They will make great parents! Notice the Ohio state jacket?
Parenthood is rough so please say a prayer for all parents and say a prayer for those couples choosing to adopt!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Rainbows!

A couple of weeks ago while attending my Bible study class I read learned the lesson of Noah's Ark. It is a fabulous story. But something new hit my eyes this time around and it was about rainbows. Rainbows are symbol of God's promises to us. So it fit right in with a project that I did this summer / fall. My daughter's friend was having a baby. They opted not to find out boy or girl. So I sought out colors of the rainbow. The first one I liked but had enough yarn to go ahead and make a second one. As per usual the second one was liked better!
So today I am sharing both photos of the blankets. May help remind you of God's promises to us!

May you have a wonderful Sunday!

It's been a long time......

I just looked and saw my last post was in August! Yikes! It's not as if I haven't been doing anything. Just haven't taken time to blog. I do get my daily fix though of looking at others projects! So here are a few of mine!
For my son's birthday I made him some recycled T-shirt bags

For my friends daughter I need a baby blanket for her new baby girl. If this is yet to be delivered!

I was excited to teach a friend of mine had a crochet. This is one of the projects that I worked on together to teach her.

I am excited to say that she has truly gotten the crochet bug. Since she learned to crochet she has crocheted hat and two blankets! It is so fun to share the love of crochet!
That's all I have for this morning. Nothing really just catching up a little on my projects. More to come soon!
Have a wonderful day!

Are we ready for some football?

Good Saturday to you!
I have been working the last couple of weeks on a number of little projects. They Are slowly coming to be finished.
The first of these is a football cuddle sack and hat. This too is for my friend's daughter Sarah who Is a photographer.

I cannot wait to see the first baby's photo while wearing this!  As per my usual, I based this loosely on a pattern by leisure arts.  It just didn't turn out the way that it should look so I frogged it! Then I did my own thing!

My daughter told me about a favorite T-shirt that had holes in the underarms and asked if I could make her a pillow. I think it turned out really well!

I hope you're enjoying the beautiful day we have today. Here in Ohio is a little Kim it but gorgeous and sunny! More updates to come soon with little projects I've been working on!
Have a blessed day!
